Revealed: Where and When Emirates A350s Will Fly

We finally have a date to add to our diaries for the first Emirates Airbus A350 flight.

On September 15, 2024, the airline’s first A350 will take to the skies, complete with Emirates next-generation business class and premium economy cabins.

“With the latest generation cabin products including more of our sought-after Premium Economy to more cities, top-notch in-flight entertainment technologies and an abundance of other customer-friendly features, the Emirates A350 builds on our long-standing commitment of investing in the very best customer experience in the sky,” said Adnan Kazim, deputy president and chief commercial officer at Emirates.

Emirates Airbus A350 Added to 9 Routes From September

First up on Emirates A350 destination list is Bahrain (BAH) on September 15, followed by Kuwait (KWI) on September 16, 2024.

Starting with short-haul destinations means Emirates can get the most out of its new aircraft while it only has 1 of the aircraft type. Shorter, more frequent flights also mean flight and cabin crews can quickly get as much practice as possible working in their new office in the sky.

As Emirates receives additional new A350s, the Dubai-based airline will gradually send the aircraft to more destinations across the Middle East, Asia, and eventually Europe and further afield.

While airline schedules are rarely set in stone and things could change, no U.S. cities are currently set to welcome the Emirates’ Airbus A350 until at least 2025.

Inside Emirates’ New Airbus A350

By March 31, 2025, Emirates expects to have taken delivery of 10 of the 65 Airbus A350-900s that it has on order.

Due to completely refreshed cabins, the jets are highly anticipated by Emirates frequent flyers as well as aviation journalists and aficionados the world over.

Business class will be the most premium cabin onboard where passengers will enjoy Emirates’ newest business class seats.

The jets will also be the second type in Emirates’ fleet to receive the airline’s state-of-the-art premium economy cabin and seats.

And finally, in economy, the cabin’s 259 seats are said to be “generously pitched.”

Notably, Emirates decided not to equip the A350s with first class, keeping this cabin exclusive to its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 jets.
